Mission of Marigold
Marian's mission is to bring the Heart of Compassion to each encounter through care and presence in massage therapy, doula support, dance, and song. She desires to be available in Grace with a hospitality of the heart. To hold a space of safety, where gentle streams of the Eternal Living Light and Love can touch each person, in body, mind, heart, and soul.
Marian
Marian West is a “heartist”, seeking to live the art of heart to heart, to hold a safe space and foster authentic connection through the healing arts. Marian is a modern dancer, vocal artist, licensed massage therapist, and a Prodoula certified labor doula.
Marian has been offering skilled, therapeutic touch for the past 16 years and continues to do so with joy, compassion, and genuine care. Marian's clients say that her massage touches body and soul. She specializes in integrative, holistic, therapeutic massage, as well as Craniosacral Massage, which is a gentle technique of presence and touch that accesses the nervous system on a deep level, allowing for profound releases and healing re-sets. It is very effective in treating trauma-related suffering.
Marian is honored to support individuals, couples, and families through pregnancy and birth, as they welcome the miracle of a new life into their hearts and arms! It is an honor and joy to journey beside mamas as they nurture life within them and labor to bring baby into the world.
Marian has been dancing and singing for as long as she can remember, and is grateful to offer these gifts as consolation, encouragement, and encounter.
In 2006, Marian received her B.A. in Dance from DeSales University and then received her massage training at the Swedish Institute in Manhattan in 2007. She served as a missionary with Con-solatio in Brooklyn for 14 months, offering a presence of compassion to the abandoned, lonely, and suffering.
Marian prays to bring Christ’s heart, hands, movement, and melody to each individual in body, mind, heart, and soul.
